Fiat Grande Punto Test Drive and Free Brochure Offer - 3 door and 5 door
Overview
The new generation of the Fiat supermini, which is not the first to have the name Punto, was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show and went on sale later that year. While previous models share some of its name, a large number of its components are new including a new chassis and body. The car’s beautiful front, headlights and front grill look similar of the Maserati Coupe. This compact car is beautiful as well as much more comfortable when compared to its predecessors.
This is one of the most spacious superminis around so you and you friends can sit back, stretch out, and travel in comfort. The seats in the Grande Punto will give you a new idea of comfort. They were designed to guidelines developed at the CONI Sport Medicine Institute so that it hugs you in all the nice palaces. Their dualogic system allows you to change gears without a clutch pedal and keep your fuel consumption down. Even the boot gives you a huge amount of room! With almost 275 litres of room, you can pack an awful lot or everything. When that is not enough, just fold down the rear seat to increase the seat even more. The Grande Punto ensures a firm and sharp drive. If you take those corners a bit to fast, its ESP will keep the car stable and keep you safe.
If you like your cars to be as efficient as they are powerful, choose the new 1.6 16v 120bhp MultiJet, the latest and most advanced diesel engines. Other engines in the Grande Punto are the Fiat 1.2 Fire 8v (65 PS) to the 1.4 16v (95 PS). All of the engine are Euro IV compliant. In 2007, came new 1.4 T-jet turbocharged petro engine (120 PS and 88KW) available. This was also topped in the Frankfurt Moto Show when they introduced the 155 PS (114 KW) Abarth version produced through the Abarth & C S.p.A company. The award-winning 1.3 16v 75bhp multi-jet engine is the world’s smallest and most advanced second-generation direct injection turbo-diesels. It will give you an amazing 62.8mpg and emits a small 119g/km CO2.
With its great look, another common requirement is safety. The Fiat Grande Punto does not fall short on that. The Grande Punto was awarded with 5 stars at the EuroNCAP crash test for passenger protection and Euro NCAP 3 star certification for pedestrian safety. The most powerful engines have electronic stability programs and anti slip regulation fitted as a standard for extra safety. This makes it a five star safety rating for adults, and three for child and pedestrian.
